Your speech app backup saves your vocabulary, layouts, and settings, but it doesn’t save personal photos and videos. This guide shows you two ways to keep those photos and videos safe via Dropbox or iCloud.

Before You Begin

Dropbox lets you upload photos and videos to a secure online folder. Dropbox comes pre-installed on all QuickTalker Freestyles.

  • Open the Utilities folder on the Home Screen.
  • Tap Dropbox.
  • Sign in to your Dropbox account, or create a new free account.
  • Tap the (+) button.
  • Select Upload Photos or Videos.
  • Choose the photos and videos you want to back up.
  • Tap Upload.

Your photos and videos will upload to your Dropbox account. You can see them on any device by signing into the same Dropbox account.

Back Up With iCloud

iCloud backs up your photos and videos automatically whenever your device is connected to Wi-Fi and signed in to an Apple Account.

Set Up Automatic Backups

  • Open Settings from the Home Screen.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Sign in with your Dedicated Apple Account.
  • Tap iCloud, then tap Photos.
  • Turn on Sync this iPad. On some devices, this is called iCloud Photos.

Your photos and videos will now upload to iCloud automatically whenever your device is on Wi-Fi.

Check That Your Backup Worked

  • Open the Photos app and scroll through your photos.
  • Look for a small cloud icon on any photo. This means the photo is still uploading.
  • Sign in to iCloud.com on another device to see your backed-up photos and videos.

Note: Keep your device connected to Wi-Fi so uploads can finish.
