Each QuickTalker Freestyle needs its own Apple Account and its own iCloud email address. Watch the video or follow the steps below to create your new Apple Account and iCloud email.

Before You Begin

Is this the right article for you?

If your loved one is under 18 and you are in Texas, Utah, or Louisiana, you’ll need to Create a Child Apple Account.

For all other QuickTalker Freestyle users, follow the steps in this article.

What you’ll need

Instructions

  1. Open Settings, then tap Apple Account in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Don’t Have an Apple Account?
  3. Tap Adult.
    • Important: Do not create a Child or Teen account, and do not connect the account to Family Sharing.
  4. Enter the first name, last name, and date of birth of the person who will use the device (you or your loved one, 18 or older), then tap Continue.
  5. Tap Don’t Have an Email Address?, then tap Get an iCloud Email Address.

  6. Type in the new iCloud address you want to use (for example, [email protected]), then tap Continue.
  7. If the email address is available, tap Create Email Address when the prompt appears.
  8. Enter a password and re-enter to verify.
    • Important: Save your iCloud email address and password somewhere safe.
  9. Enter a phone number you will always have access to.
  10. Enter the verification code sent to your phone number.
  11. Agree to the terms and conditions.
  12. You have now created your Apple Account.
