Your QuickTalker Freestyle’s battery should last the whole day, but all batteries hold a little less charge as they get older. These steps help you get the most out of yours.
Lower the Screen Brightness
- Open Settings, then select Display & Brightness.
- Drag the brightness slider down as low as you can while still seeing the screen clearly. Half brightness (50%) works well for most people.
Turn Off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn it off.
- Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it off.
- Tap either icon again to turn it back on when you need it.
Turn Off Notifications
- Open Settings, then select Notifications.
- Select an app, then turn off Allow Notifications.
- Repeat for each app you don’t need alerts from. Turning off notifications for all apps saves the most battery.
Set the Screen to Lock Sooner
- Open Settings, then select Display & Brightness.
- Select Auto-Lock.
- Select 2 Minutes, 5 Minutes, or 10 Minutes.
- Avoid selecting Never. This keeps the screen on until you press the power button.
Next Steps
With these settings in place, your QuickTalker Freestyle should last the whole day. If you won’t be near an outlet during the day, keep a portable battery pack with it.
