The Utilities folder on your QuickTalker Freestyle holds the apps you use to change device settings, manage photos, back up your vocabulary, and get help from ableCARE. This guide shows you how to open the folder and what each app is for.

Open the Utility Folder

  1. Go to the Home Screen of your QuickTalker Freestyle.
  2. Tap the Utility folder.
  3. Tap the app you want to use.

What Each App Does

  • Settings – Connect to Wi-Fi, share files with AirDrop, find your serial number, or turn on features like Switch Control.
  • Camera – Take photos. You can add these photos to your speech app to make your own custom buttons.
  • Photos – See all the photos saved on the device. Check this often in case photos are being taken by accident. Too many photos can fill up the storage and slow down the device.
  • Files – Back up your vocabulary files by hand.
  • Dropbox – Back up your vocabulary so you can open it on any device. Sign in or create a free account to get started. For steps, see Back Up Your Speech App.
  • Find My – Track your QuickTalker Freestyle if it is lost or stolen. Tracking only works when the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • SOS – Lets the ableCARE and SLP Empowerment teams connect to your device remotely so they can walk you through steps or see a problem as it happens. They can only connect using a code that you give them, and they cannot see or track any of your personal information.
