You’re here because: Your speech app on your QuickTalker Freestyle looks gray or faded, and it won’t open.

Turn Off Downtime

1. If it’s still gray, open Settings, then tap Screen Time.
2. Tap Downtime. If Downtime is on, turn it off or change the schedule so it doesn’t cover the times you use your device.

Update Speech App

• Connect your device to an unrestricted Wi-Fi network.
• Wait 10 minutes while your speech app updates. When it’s done, your speech app should no longer be gray.
• If your speech app is still gray, follow the steps in My Speech App Won’t Update to reset your network settings and reset all settings.
