What is ableFamilies?
It’s a growing community where QuickTalker Freestyle families come together to ensure no one navigates the journey alone. In ableFamilies, we celebrate each other’s wins, learn from each other’s experiences, and remind each other that every step forward matters.
It’s led by AbleNet’s dedicated Parent Enthusiast team.
What’s a Parent Enthusiast?
Each Parent Enthusiast is the parent to a QuickTalker Freestyle user and an AbleNet employee. Each of them possess a unique understanding of what it’s like to have a QuickTalker Freestyle at home. They’re here to share practical, everyday advice that makes a real difference.
How do I join?

You’ll need your funding request number to register.
What is the purpose or mission of ableFamilies?

We believe in connecting families of QuickTalker Freestyle users so that no one has to navigate their AAC journey alone. We provide practical, everyday information and have first-hand experience.
What kind of events does the group organize?
You’ll gain access to both virtual and in-person events. Check out our events page for more information and find a local event near you.
Is there a newsletter?
Certainly! Once you join, you can expect to receive a weekly Ideas email from your regional parent enthusiast.
Is there a social media page?
Yes, you’ll gain access to the private ableFamilies Facebook group where you can connect directly with other ableFamilies. The people there really get it!
Is there a membership fee?
No way! Access to ableFamilies is included with your QuickTalker Freestyle, so there is no cost.
How can I get involved or volunteer?
We’d love you to get involved, here are a few different ways:
Become an ableFamilies Ambassador and help build connections, support families, and share your experience.
