Monthly Parent Check-In

Join us for our monthly Parent Check-In, a relaxed, drop-in Zoom space created just for ableFamilies parents. There’s no formal presentation and no pressure to participate.
Come for a few minutes or stay for the full hour. This is a camera-optional, supportive environment focused on real connection, shared experiences, and practical support from other parents who understand the journey.

MaST Community Charter School is hosting an Autism and Disability Resource and Acceptance Night for families across all three campuses and the greater Philadelphia community.
This event brings together local organizations that provide services, supports, and extracurricular opportunities for individuals with disabilities throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

We’re excited to invite you to an upcoming virtual ableFamilies Ambassador Interest Meeting — a relaxed, open conversation for anyone who’s even just a little curious about what it means to be an ableFamilies Ambassador.
This virtual meet‑up is a chance to learn more about the ableFamilies Ambassador program, hear directly from current Ambassadors Caitlin and Miranda, and ask questions in a welcoming, low‑pressure space. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet me and see if this might be a good fit for you — no commitment required.
Just want to listen? That’s perfectly okay.
You’re welcome to join with your camera off, listen in, and jump in whenever it feels right. We know evenings can be busy, and parents are always welcome to pop in at any point during the call.
ableFamilies Hangout: Home Success

Whether you’re brand new to AAC or just looking for some extra guidance, this hangout will walk you through helpful tips and everyday tools that make a difference. You’ll also hear from other families who are on the same journey.
What we’ll cover:
- How to maintain and care for your device
- Guided Access to avoid accidental taps
- Understanding your warranty
- How to request free accessories
- Exploring additional ableNet Resources
There’s no limit to how many can attend, and all ableFamilies members will receive access to the replay.

ableFamilies We Rock the Spectrum Meetup (NJ)
Saturday, May 23 at 4:30 to 6:30 PM EST
Parent Enthusiast Mark will greet families at the venue and answer any questions they have while the children enjoy free-play with full access to the sensory gym area reserved only for our group.
This private event provides your kiddo the opportunity to explore at their own comfort level. With staff in attendance, the kids can play, while parents and caregivers can relax, connect, and socialize in a supportive, low-stress environment. Chips, applesauce, and beverages will be provided at no cost!
