ableFamilies Meetup in Maryland

We’re excited to invite you and your family to our upcoming ableFamilies Group Meetup, an in-person event designed to connect families using the QuickTalker Freestyle! This event is hosted by an ableFamilies Ambassador in your region, Ambassador Natasha Lowery.
Join Ambassador Natasha Lowery for a fun-filled afternoon at We Rock the Spectrum, a sensory-friendly indoor gym in Owings Mills made for kids of all abilities. Families will have access to trampolines, a ball pit, swings, and a variety of sensory equipment designed to let kids move, play, and explore at their own pace. We’ll have food and beverages on hand so everyone can refuel between activities. This is a laid-back space where your family can connect with other ableFamilies while your kids play and use their QuickTalker Freestyle to communicate along the way. We can’t wait to see you there!

Ahead of time, each family will receive a cookbook and choose a sandwich recipe to prepare before the call. During the virtual lunch, everyone will enjoy the sandwiches they made together while chatting about their recipe choices. It’s a simple, cozy way to connect with other ableFamilies over a shared meal, no matter where you live. We can’t wait to see what you cook up and hope you’ll join us!

We’re excited to invite you and your family to our upcoming ableFamilies Parent Connection: Fall Festival meetupโan in-person event designed to connect families using the QuickTalker Freestyle! This event is hosted by an ableFamilies Ambassador in your region, Charity Ogunwo.
Ambassador Charity Ogunwo is hosting this Fall Festival meetup at High Prairie Library in Falcon, Colorado. Kids are welcome to come dressed in costume (though it’s not required), and a costume contest will take place around 3:00 PM. Families can enjoy music, games, and crafts throughout the event, plus a screening of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Cookies, juice, and pizza will be served, and the library’s nature area in back is a great spot for a peaceful stroll in the crisp fall air. It’s shaping up to be a festive, family-friendly afternoon, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Get ready for a spook-tacular afternoon! We’ll kick things off with a Trunk-or-Treat at 12:30 p.m. โ costumes welcome! โ followed by indoor mini-golf at Scary Strokes starting at 1 p.m., a Halloween-themed 18-hole course with a full arcade and food court on-site.
It’s a fun, low-pressure way to connect with other families using QuickTalker Freestyle while in costume! We can’t wait to see you there.
