Sound It Out is a new button type that sounds out words in syllables either with a recorded voice or through text-to-speech. This is a great early literacy feature for AAC users!

1. Go to Main Menu
2. Select Page Editor
3. Select the button you’d like sounded out.
4. Select Button Text and type in the label for the cell
5. Select Action and then tap Sound it Out
6. Select Preview Animation to hear how the word will sound. You will hear the whole word, then each part, and the whole word again.
7. To record your own voice, select Record With Animation. The word animation will appear on the screen and you will speak into the mic as each part highlights.
8. You can also adjust the Word Pattern, Pace, and After Animation for each word.
9. Select Save when you’re finished.
