From early prototypes through final production, every case goes through rigorous drop testing based on military standards (MIL-STD-810H516.8 IV Transit Drop Test). That means 26 drops onto concrete, hitting every corner and face, including screen-down. We then go beyond the standard by running double drop tests from both 4 ft and 5 ft heights. Why We Removed the Plastic Screen Protector🔗

Previous versions of the QuickTalker Freestyle included a plastic screen protector intended to reduce glare outdoors. Over time, we found that this plastic was prone to scratches and clouding that could interfere with the screen experience. Testing during our design process determined that it did not protect against a screen breaking. We focused on making the case as protective as possible instead of adding a feature that would detract from the user experience without providing meaningful protection. That’s a better investment in your device’s long-term durability.
