Getting your device connected and secure doesn’t have to be complicated! Whether you just got a new device or want to make your current one more secure, this guide will help you connect to WiFi and set up a passcode. These simple steps will keep your device protected while making sure you can download apps and get updates when you need them.

WiFi Connection Steps🔗

• Go to Settings, then tap Wi-Fi.
• If it’s not already on, tap the switch to turn Wi-Fi on.
• Pick the Wi-Fi network you want to use and enter in your password.

Passcode Creation Steps🔗

• Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn Passcode On > Passcode Options and choose 4 digit passcode > Type in the passcode you want to use.
• We really recommend writing down your passcode and sharing it with your SLP.
• Scroll down and tap Require Passcode.
• Choose how long to wait before asking for the passcode again.

Optional – You can set up TouchID too. This can be really helpful in addition to typing in your code.

• Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Add a Fingerprint.
• Follow the steps on screen to add the fingerprint of the main user AND the parent’s fingerprint.
• You might want to add your SLP’s fingerprint too, or anyone else who helps with the device regularly.
