Getting your device connected and secure doesn’t have to be complicated! Whether you just got a new device or want to make your current one more secure, this guide will help you connect to Wi-Fi and set up a passcode. These simple steps will keep your device protected while making sure you can download apps and get updates when you need them.

Wi-Fi Connection Steps๐Ÿ”—

  • Go to Settings, then tap Wi-Fi.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is toggled ON.
  • Pick the Wi-Fi network you want to use and enter your password.

Passcode Creation Steps๐Ÿ”—

  • Go to Settings, then tap Touch ID & Passcode.
  • Tap Turn Passcode On.
  • Tap Passcode Options.
  • Select 4 Digit Passcode.
  • Type in a memorable passcode.
    • We recommend writing down your passcode and sharing it with the other team members (parents, caregivers, SLPs, etc.) to ensure consistent access.
  • Scroll down and tap Require Passcode.
  • Choose how long to wait before asking for the passcode again.

OptionalYou can set up TouchID too.

This can be really helpful in addition to typing in your code.

  • Go to Settings then, Touch ID & Passcode.
  • Select Add a Fingerprint.
  • Follow the steps on screen to add the fingerprint of the main user and the parent’s fingerprint.
    • You might want to add your SLP’s fingerprint too, or anyone else who helps with the device regularly.

Additional Information๐Ÿ”—

Once you finish these steps, your device will be ready to go! You’ll have a secure device that connects to the internet easily. This setup lets you access personal voice, use online features, and keeps your device safe.
