How To Back Up Your QuickTalker Freestyle🔗

Regular backups protect your QuickTalker Freestyle speech device and all the important content stored on it. This guide covers two options for backing up personal photos and videos separately.

Back Up Personal Photos and Videos🔗

Personal photos and videos are not included in speech app backups, which typically save vocabulary, layouts, and settings only. Because of this, any personal media must be backed up separately using iCloud or Dropbox using either of the options below.

Option 1: Back Up Using Dropbox (Recommended)🔗

Dropbox allows you to manually upload photos and videos to a secure cloud folder. The Dropbox app is pre-installed on all QuickTalker Freestyle speech devices and can be found in the Utilities folder on the Home Screen.

Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi before starting. To check, open Settings and look for the Wi-Fi connection at the top.

Step 1: Open Dropbox and Sign In

1. Open the Utilities folder from your Home Screen.
2. Tap Dropbox.
3. Sign in to an existing Dropbox account or create a new free account.

Step 2: Upload Photos and Videos

1. In Dropbox, tap the “+” (Add) button.
2. Select Upload photos or videos.
3. Choose the photos and videos you want to back up.
4. Tap Upload.

Your selected photos and videos will upload to your Dropbox account. You can access them from any device by signing in to Dropbox.

Option 2: Back Up Using iCloud🔗

iCloud automatically backs up photos and videos when your device is connected to Wi-Fi and signed in with an Apple Account.

Step 1: Sign In to iCloud

1. From the Home Screen, open Settings.
2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
   • If no name appears, tap Sign in to your iPad.
3. Sign in using your iCloud account.

Step 2: Turn On iCloud Photos

1. In Settings, tap iCloud.
2. Tap Photos.
3. Turn on Sync this iPad (or iCloud Photos).

Once enabled, photos and videos will automatically upload to iCloud when your device is connected to Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Confirm Your Backup

To verify your photos are backing up:

• Open the Photos app and scroll through images.
• Photos with a small cloud icon are still uploading.
• You can also log in to iCloud.com from another device to confirm files are backed up.

Note: Your device must be connected to Wi-Fi for uploads to complete.
