Back Up Your Speech App
How To Back Up Your Speech App Vocabularyđź”—
Customized vocabulary boards represent hours of careful work tailoring communication to individual needs. Backing up this vocabulary regularly protects that progress and keeps communication consistent, even if your speech app is accidentally deleted, your device needs repair, or you’re transitioning to a new device.
Why Back Up Your Vocabulary?đź”—
Regular backups ensure you can quickly restore customized vocabulary if something unexpected happens. This means less downtime and continued communication progress without starting over.
Tip: Be sure to back up any personal photos and videos on your device separately, as they do not automatically always transfer over with the speech app back up.
Recommended Backup Methodđź”—
We recommend using Dropbox for your vocabulary backups. Dropbox offers free storage through their Basic account, which you can set up at dropbox.com/basic or through the Dropbox app on your device. Many speech apps integrate directly with Dropbox, making backups and restores straightforward.
