Spoken – How to Type, Write, and Draw in Spoken
Spoken allows you to communicate by typing, writing, or drawing words. As you do, the app will display word predictions. You can send a message to the speech message bar in the following ways:
- Typing: Press the blue arrow on the keyboard.
- Writing or drawing: Select a word from the word predictions, or send it to the speech message bar by selecting the box with the arrow pointing right. Note that when sending a drawn message, the app will automatically select the first word prediction.
To type:
- Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
- If you prefer the keyboard to appear automatically when opening the app:
- Select the Settings icon (cog icon) at the bottom right.
- Scroll down to “Display and Accessibility.”
- Toggle “Show Keyboard on Start” ON.
To write:
- Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
- Select the “Aa” symbol.
- Write in the white space.
To draw:
- Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
- Select the pencil symbol.
- Draw in the white space.
