Spoken allows you to communicate by typing, writing, or drawing words. As you do, the app will display word predictions. You can send a message to the speech message bar in the following ways:

• Typing: Press the blue arrow on the keyboard.
• Writing or drawing: Select a word from the word predictions, or send it to the speech message bar by selecting the box with the arrow pointing right. Note that when sending a drawn message, the app will automatically select the first word prediction.

To type:

• Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
• If you prefer the keyboard to appear automatically when opening the app:
  • Select the Settings icon (cog icon) at the bottom right.
  • Scroll down to “Display and Accessibility.”
  • Toggle “Show Keyboard on Start” ON.

To write:

• Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
• Select the “Aa” symbol.
• Write in the white space.

To draw:

• Select the keyboard icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
• Select the pencil symbol.
• Draw in the white space.
