Before You Open the App: Account & Backup Setup 

Before opening Proloquo2Go, we recommend setting up your Dropbox account right away so you are ready to back up any personalizations to the app.

1. Go to the Utilities folder on the Home screen of the device
2. Open Dropbox
3. Create a free basic account

Opening the App for the First Time

1. Tap Get Started, then tap New User
2. Create a user profile name
3. Choose a language or languages
4. Choose a voice or voices
5. Choose a vocabulary (most common is Crescendo)
6. Choose a vocabulary level (most common is Intermediate Core) 
   • Once inside the app, you can set up Progressive Language to systematically hide buttons. Check out our resources section for more details!
7. Select a grid size. For help choosing, see Choosing a Grid Size
8. Choose a skin tone

Exploring Vocabulary & Finding Words

Start exploring your vocabulary by browsing folders and pages. Use the Word Finder to quickly locate where words live within the system.

To access Word Finder:

1. Tap the four squares icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen
2. Tap the magnifying glass icon

Don’t Forget: Back Up Your App

Regular backups help protect vocabulary and customizations. We recommend backing up:

• After initial setup
• Following major edits
• On a regular schedule
