We know discovering a cracked or shattered screen on your QuickTalker Freestyle speech device can feel overwhelming. Your first priority is keeping everyone safe while we get your device back to working order.
The good news? Your QuickTalker Freestyle comes with a five-year warranty through AbleNet, which covers damaged devices and includes shattered, chipped, cracked or broken screens. Here’s what to do next.
Keep Everyone Safe🔗
If the screen has cracked or shattered, do not remove the device from its case. The case will help prevent glass shards from spreading. Take these immediate steps to secure your screen:
- Place clear tape over the screen to hold loose shards in place, or place the device in a plastic bag
- Keep the device away from children and pets until secured
- Avoid touching the screen with bare hands
If you need to clean the screen or use the device before receiving your replacement, wear protective gloves and gently wipe with a microfiber cloth. Do not press down on the screen.
Your Warranty Covers This🔗
Your warranty covers shattered or broken screens. We will send a return label to you to ship the broken device back to us and will ship the replacement device Next Day Air once the damaged device is on its way back to us.
