iPadOS 26 Release Notice
Introduction
Apple is expected to release iPadOS 26 to the general public shortly after September 9, 2025. Once the update becomes available on your QuickTalker Freestyle, we recommend waiting at least 30 days before updating. This allows time for speech app developers to address any bugs that may not have been caught during beta testing.
New Features
A key addition in iPadOS 26 is a feature called Windowing. This feature lets users open apps in separate, resizable windows – similar to how windows work on a desktop computer.
While helpful in some cases, Windowing may create challenges for QuickTalker Freestyle users:
- Windows can be resized to an unusable size
- Windows may be accidentally closed
