Instructions

Connecting BIGmack to a Toy or Appliance

Insert a new 9V battery
Action: Open the battery compartment and insert a fresh 9V battery.
Expected Result: The BIGmack powers on successfully.

Turn the BIGmack ON
Action: Slide the power switch to the ON position.
Expected Result: The device is ready for recording and switch activation.

Record a Message
Action: Press and hold the record button while speaking a message (3-5 seconds long). Release when done.
Expected Result: The message is saved and will play back when activated.

Connect the BIGmack to the Toy or Appliance
Action: Insert one 3.5mm mono cable end into the Toy/Appliance jack on the BIGmack. Connect the other end to the switch input jack of the toy or appliance.
Expected Result: The physical connection is established.

Test the Connection
Action: Press the switch at the top of the BIGmack.
Expected Result: The recorded message plays, and the connected device activates for the duration of the message.

Connecting BIGmack to a Computer or Tablet

Follow Steps 1-3 Above

Connect BIGmack to a Switch Interface
Action: Plug one 3.5mm mono cable end into the Toy/Appliance jack on the BIGmack and the other end into the switch interface.
Expected Result: The BIGmack is now linked to the switch interface.

Test the Setup
Action: Press the switch at the top of the BIGmack.
Expected Result: The recorded message plays and the connected device responds accordingly.

Finalize the Setup
Action: Configure the switch interface according to the provided instructions.
Expected Result: The switch interface functions as expected with the BIGmack.

Tips and Troubleshooting

  • The BIGmack requires a recorded message to function as a switch. Consider using the Big Red or Jelly Bean switches if you prefer a direct switch.
  • Check the battery, cable connections, and device compatibility if the connected device does not activate.
