Introduction ๐Ÿ”—

The video below offers an introduction and overview of how to use the PowerLink 4. It will guide you through initial setup, including connecting with an accessory and a switch.

Advanced Features๐Ÿ”—

Linking with AbleNet Wireless Transmitters๐Ÿ”—

  1. Turn both the PowerLink and AbleNet wireless switch transmitter ON.
  2. Press and hold the PowerLinkโ€™s Status button on the side you wish to link until the light turns solid green (about 6-10 seconds).
  3. Activate any AbleNet wireless switch transmitter.
    • PowerLinkโ€™s corresponding light will blink Blue, then Green.
  4. Repeat this step to link additional AbleNet wireless switch transmitters on that side (up to 7 more).
  5. Press and release the Status button to exit linking mode.
    • PowerLinkโ€™s corresponding light will turn off.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for opposite side.

NOTE: Once you exit linking mode, re-initiating the linking process will overwrite all previously linked devices.

To un-link AbleNet wireless switch transmitters, press and hold the desired Status for 10-15 seconds until the light blinks Blue 3x, then Green, then off.

Modes of Control๐Ÿ”—

The PowerLink control unit offers six modes of appliance control: Direct, Count, Two-Switch, Timed Seconds, Timed Minutes, and Latch. Press the โ€œModeโ€ button repeatedly to cycle through the modes of control.

Direct๐Ÿ”—

The Direct mode keeps the appliance(s) on only while the switch is activated. Once released, the appliance(s) will turn off.

Count๐Ÿ”—

Count mode behaves like Direct mode, showing the number of activations on the Display Counter.

  • With two switches the Display Counter shows the number of the side most recently activated.
  • To view either sideโ€™s number of activations, press the corresponding Status button.
  • Press and Release the Left and Right buttons simultaneously to reset the counter back to 00.

Two-Switch๐Ÿ”—

Two-Switch mode requires two simultaneous switch activations to turn an appliance on. When activated, all attached appliances will activate in Direct mode. Two switches must be attached or linked to use this mode.

Timed Seconds๐Ÿ”—

The Timed Seconds mode allows the appliance to run for a preset amount of time, from 1 to 99 seconds, with a single activation.

To count down seconds:

  1. Set the desired number of seconds with the Up and Down arrows. Press and hold to move through the numbers.
  2. The Display Counter will show the time set and, once a switch is activated, count down to one.

To add or subtract time while counting down:

  • Press the Up (add time) or Down arrow (subtract time).

If a second switch is activated:

  • The Display will reflect that sideโ€™s remaining time. Press either of the Status buttons to view the time remaining for that side.

Note: If you do not want to wait for the set time to expire, press the Mode button to select any other mode of control, attached appliances will shut off.

Timed Minutes๐Ÿ”—

This mode behaves exactly like the Timed Seconds mode, but uses minutes rather than seconds.

Latch๐Ÿ”—

Latch mode keeps an appliance connected to PowerLink 4 to stay on indefinitely.
