Getting Started with BIG Candy Corn 2 Switch

This article offers an introduction and overview of how to get started with the BIG Candy Corn 2 switch from AbleNet.
The BIG Candy Corn 2 uses 2 AAA batteries and has a D-ring lock on the battery door (photo below). Previous versions used a coin-cell battery and a circular battery door lock. Support for that device can be found here.

The video below offers an introduction and overview of how to use the BIG Candy Corn 2 switch. To use an AbleNet wired switch, you will need the switch and an accessory with a 1/8-in/3.5-mm mono jack.
To use your BIG Candy Corn 2 switch, follow these steps:
- Ensure that there are 2 AAA alkaline batteries in the device.
- Plug the switch plug into the switch jack on the accessory of your choice.
- Turn the switch over and turn the switch on.
- The switch will activate the accessory once the user is within 10mm of the switch top or touches the switch top.
