Valentine’s Day Card🔗

Items you’ll need: Paper, scissors, glue, markers/crayons, stickers
Words: Love, pink, heart, hug, paper, glue, scissors
Sentences/phrases: I love you, I want (color), Cut the paper, The heart is (color)

Activity: Create a Valentine’s Day card to give to someone. Ask them “who” it is for, what color paper and markers/crayons they want to use, how they want to decorate it. Model the words on their device.

Valentine’s Day Baking🔗

Items you’ll need: any cupcake mix from the store, cupcake tin, baking cups
Words: make, bowl, spoon, pour, colors, eat, help
Sentences/phrases: Make cupcakes, It is yummy, Pour it in, Can I help?

Activity: Make cupcakes together! Talk about the steps to make it and the ingredients you are using. Model these words on the device. After they are made, eat the cupcakes together and talk about if they are “yummy” or “good.”

Read a Valentine’s Day Themed Book🔗

Words: read, book, your book’s specific Valentine’s Day related words
Sentences: Turn the page, Let’s read again, I like this book

Activity: Model the words and pictures you see in the book on the device. Program some of the device user’s favorite books on the device and let them pick which one to read.
