Press and hold on an existing button to populate the editing window
Select the blue icon with the image symbol (next to the color palette)
Five options will appear:
Select symbol: pulls up a symbol library to choose from
Select emoji: pulls up emojis to choose from
Select photo: pulls up photo app on device to add a photo you have taken
Take photo: pulls up camera to take a photo in real time
Select image file: pulls up files from device to add a photo saved on iPad
Go to Settings
Select Custom keyboard

At the top of the screen, above the message bar, there are three tabs. These are conversation tabs and allow a user to select a tab to hold multiple conversations at once.
This can be helpful if a user is interrupted in a conversation and does not what to lose a started message. The user can toggle over to another conversation tab to respond to the interruption while keeping the original message in the first tab.
