Setting Up Your App and Subscription Account 

To activate your Cboard account, please reach out to our ableCARE team to get started.

Before You Open the App: Account & Backup Setup 

Before opening your speech app, we recommend setting up your Dropbox account right away so you are ready to back up any personalization’s on the app!

1. Go to the Utilities folder on the Home Page of the device
2. Open Dropbox
3. Create a free/basic account

Selecting Your Board

1. Choose Cboard Classic Home or Universal Core 11×6
2. Go through prompts for tour of the app and settings (optional)
3. Tap the lock icon in the top right corner three times to open settings
4. Begin selecting preferences for language, voice, etc

You can switch, add, or build your own boards by tapping the Lock icon and selecting the Board Settings in the middle of the screen.

Basic Customization: Making the App Personal 

The following resource will help you begin simple customizations to better reflect the communicator’s needs and preferences.

Don’t Forget: Back Up Your App

Regular backups help protect vocabulary and customizations. We recommend backing up:

• After initial setup
• Following major edits
• On a regular schedule

As long as you are a registered user, Cboard automatically backs up your boards to your account.
