If your QuickTalker Freestyle is completely frozen, unresponsive to touch, or stuck on the Apple logo or another screen, your next step should be to try a force restart.

Step 1: Identify QuickTalker Freestyle Model🔗

The force restart instructions differ based on which QuickTalker Freestyle model you have. To identify your model:

1. Turn your device so that the handle is in your right hand.
2. Look on the bottom of the screen.
3. If there is a small, round button there, you have a QuickTalker Freestyle with a home button.
4. If there is not a small, round button there, you have a QuickTalker Freestyle without a home button.

Force Restarting Process🔗

Now that you know which model you have, follow the steps below!

QuickTalker Freestyle Standard – Without Home Button🔗

1. Press and quickly release the volume down button on the left (1).
2. Press and quickly release the volume up button on the right (2).
3. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake/Power button (3) until the device begins to restart
4. The screen will go black before the Apple logo appears. Continue to hold the Sleep/Wake/Power until the Apple logo appears. Ignore anything that appears on the screen during this time.

QuickTalker Freestyle Mini – Without Home Button🔗

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button (1).
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button (2).
3. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake/Power button (3) until the device begins to restart
4. The screen will go black before the Apple logo appears. Continue to hold the Sleep/Wake/Power until the Apple logo appears. Ignore anything that appears on the screen during this time.

QuickTalker Freestyle – With Home Button🔗

1. Simultaneously press and hold the Sleep/Wake/Power button (1) and the Home button (2) until the Apple logo appears (approximately 15-20 seconds).
2. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
3. The screen will go black before the Apple logo appears. Continue to hold the top button until the Apple logo appears. Ignore anything that appears on the screen during this time.
