SLPs and parents can start a Benefit Check to find out if they’re eligible for insurance coverage for a QuickTalker Freestyle speech device. This starts your ableEXPERIENCE!
What is a Benefit Check?
When you submit a Benefit Check, an AbleNet employee will reach out to the family or caregiver of the potential device user. They’ll ask for the following:
- Medical insurance information for the user
- Medical release document signed by the family/caregiver if the user is under the age of 18
- Primary doctor contact information for the user
After receiving this information, we’ll do a review of the information and let you know if you’re eligible for funding coverage. In many cases, we provide benefit details the same day the benefit check request is submitted.
